I grew up in Nou, in the Roma neighbourhood. I first encountered ELIJAH when I was learning the saxophone at secondary school. These were the first music lessons that ELIJAH had introduced at my school.
At just 18 years old, I stood in front of a class of 25 children for the first time with no other teachers or backup — just her and me. That’s when I realised that I wanted to spend the rest of my life working with children.

I went to teacher training college, completed the teaching module at the University of Sibiu, and then obtained a Master’s degree in Art and Literature. I now work as a teacher and an after-school educator at ELIJAH. I have made it!
