My perspective for people in need
“I gained a lot of experience this year and my perspective of people in need became more sensitive. From learning a new language to raising and supporting children. Time for myself, where I could calm down, was essential for me from time to time, because sometimes I reached my limit. The different and often so hopeless fates of people who are now close to my heart move and shape me.
I was confronted with the reality of poverty and meaninglessness. It is very difficult to motivate people with a Roma background to take action to improve their circumstances. Thank goodness there are exceptions. Elijah gives many people visions for their lives through various projects with a focus on education (social centers, teaching centers and music schools).
I lived and worked in Marpod, helping out on the farm in the mornings and teaching guitar in the afternoons. In this new daily life I found full fulfillment and motivation. I am so infinitely grateful for this valuable time and wouldn’t change a thing about it!”
