SANCTUARY
For women with children in need
Casa Nora is a refuge for women and their children. The first women with children have been moving in since winter 2024. An experienced ELIJAH team accompanies them. Here, they can take a short breather and then move on. Or they can find accommodation and help out until they have built a secure future.
We look after the children so that the mothers can go to work. If they stay longer, the little ones attend kindergarten or school.
Students also live in the building. Those who have proven themselves in the Casa Francisc student residence move into a shared student apartment on the upper floor. They support us in providing day and night care for the large, diverse family.
At Casa Nora, we offer emergency care, protection, and counseling. Counseling for mothers, especially minors, who are overwhelmed by planning for the future. Do they want to return or take a new path? Support with food, clothing, and hygiene. Children should be able to play and learn in a safe environment. Legal advice, medical care, and assistance with job searches and dealing with authorities.
