CASA ILIE

ELIJAH has been running the Social Centre Casa Ilie in Hosman since 2017. A playing ground in front the door attracts children to play. The church in the village can be used for events and celebrations. The dentist’s surgery in the erstwhile schoolroom is available free of charge to everyone from the village.

50 children take part in the daily programme. Close contact is kept with the music school Casa Sonja. The childcare workers and teachers co-operate with the social workers.

Medical care for Romani families is of vital concern to ELIJAH and one of the focal points of work in Hosman. ELIJAH finances the weekly surgery of a general practitioner and his assistant.
